The south of Puglia

The southern part of the Italian region Puglia is known as Salento. It's very rich in beautiful beaches, baroque villages, authentic culture and prehistoric structures. In this area there is also a growing offer of holistic wellness activities.

Salento is at the tip of the heel of Italy's boot and its major towns are Lecce, known as the Florence of the South. And the harbor town Otranto, the most eastern city in Italy.

Where is it?
The south of Puglia can be reached by airplane, train and bus. The nearest international airport is in Brindisi and there is also Bari airport. Many express trains and international busses arrive in Lecce.
